AppsTech
to acquire ASP
Combined
entity to target overseas markets.

Consolidation
in the consulting and application service provider markets continues to
pick up steam.
On
Wednesday, AppsTech. (AppsTech), a Bethesda, Md.-based
consultancy, said it has agreed to buy Apprio
Inc., an ASP and systems integrator, for an undisclosed consideration.
AppsTech
said the acquisition will drive its global expansion, via Apprio's
existing customer relationships in Asia and Latin America, and will add
applications hosting to AppsTech's services portfolio.
Apprio,
whose hosted solutions are based on Oracle's E-Business Suite 11i, focuses
on the telecommunications, financial services and education markets. Its
customers include Global One, The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, and the U.S. Census Bureau. |
